Sci Nite – March 27th

Sci Nite - March 27th

On behalf of the Student Government Sustainability Committee, we are currently planning an event called SciNite and are looking for presenters and performers. We are contacting you because we thought your interests in sustainability best align with performing at SciNite.

SciNite is a three-hour event hosted by the student government sustainability committee that will take place on Friday, March 27that 7:00 pm. The event focuses on highlighting sustainability projects, as well as other educational topics surrounding sustainability, presented by Iowa State University students. Each presentation will last approximately 20 minutes, and between each presentation, there will be a musical performance, or a performance related to the arts, such as poetry, spoken word, stand-up, or dance lasting around ten minutes.

We created SciNite for people to present their work and interests in sustainability within a laid-back and humorous environment. We are looking for talented performers during the time between each presenter. Their performance does not have to center around sustainability or the environment, but it is encouraged.

If you are interested in participating in SciNite, we ask that individuals fill out the Google Form by Friday, March 6th. We will review the forms and contact those interested shortly after. If you have any questions about the event or application, please contact Andrew Mota, anmota@iastate.edu, and he will respond to you as soon as possible.

This opportunity would be a great way to prepare for an upcoming performance, recital, or presentation!
