Hello! My name is Izzy Wilde and I am a junior in Community and Regional Planning, Geographic Information Systems, and Spanish. In the 2017-2018 school year I was the Sustainability Coordinator for Friley. In the Spring semester of 2019, I spent time abroad in Canberra, Australia. There I learned more about the importance of environmental sustainability for a country with such a diverse and fragile ecosystem. Outside of student government, I am a dancer with Orchesis I and enjoy art and staying active.
My goals as Director of Sustainability include educating and encouraging students to participate in sustainability practices that can have a life long impact. I hope to encourage current recycling and composting initiatives at Iowa State as well as implement a few projects of my own. Through my committees, I want to encourage students to take a stand get involved with making the world a better place.
