Election Commission

Election Commission’s mission is the fair and proper administration of Student Government Elections. Election Commission is tasked with creating election laws and planning for the Spring Student Government Elections.

The Election Commission meets weekly (spring 2024 meetings TBD).

What We Do?

Election Commission holds a wide array of responsibilities such as creating Election Law policies to ensure that the candidates in the elections are on an even playing field; planning and managing events such as Candidate Information Sessions, Presidential and Vice-Presidential Debates; and scheduling and staffing polling locations on the Election Dates.

Sub-Committee System

In order for everything to be completed before the Spring Elections, The Election Commission has its own sub-committee system: 

  • Public Relations
  • Debates
  • Violations 

Each committee holds differing responsibilities.
