Hi, my name is Mason Zastrow and I am Student Government's Finance Director! I am a Senior this year. Previously, I have represented IRHA and UROC in over two Senate terms, been President of Matterson House (Wilson Hall), IRHA Representative from Wallace/Wilson, and Chair of the Wallace/Wilson Hall Council Constitutional Committee.
I'm originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, but sincerely think of Ames as home. Outside of three majors, a minor, and Student Government, I spend my free time running, playing tennis, and rooting for the Cleveland Browns! My Freshman year, I was a part of the ISUCF'V'MB Color Guard, and I love to cheer for them (and the team!) at football games.
As your Finance Director, I want to make sure that we're efficiently spending the money brought into us by the Student Activity Fee. In Finance Committee, we follow existing rules and draft new ones for the future to make sure this money is distributed fairly. I'm very passionate about our Priorities and Criteria document, give it a look! I'm always happy to answer questions or listen to input on how we can improve ourselves and our funding process.
