Student Initiatives Committee
Chemical Engineering

Kaitlyn is a senior in Chemical Engineering from DeWitt, Iowa. She is currently serving as a UROC (Off-Campus) Senator and as Chair of the Student Initiatives Committee. Previously, she has served as an At-Large for the Student Initiatives Committee and as Clerk for the Senate and the Finance Committee.

This session, Kaitlyn hopes to "bolster" previous green legislation through projects including composting and use of solar energy across campus. Currently, she is exploring opportunities to engage Iowa State students with their Ames community through service work. As Student Initiatives Chair, Kaitlyn hopes to support a plethora of projects and services coming through the committee. In addition, Kaitlyn hopes to continue the Women in STEM Initiative, a project through Student Initiatives that aims to highlight outstanding women in our Iowa State University. As an Off-Campus Senator, she also hopes to increase engagement of off-campus students in our Iowa State Community.
