Welcome! My name is Emily Rizvic, I am a senior studying Political Science and Community and Regional Planning, and am from Des Moines, Iowa. I've been involved in Student Government since being a freshman, and have held the role of Election Commissioner. Additionally, i've interned at Story County as a Planner, drafting ordinances for sensitive environmental areas and have worked on an affordable housing project in the City of Grand Junction. Additionally, I'm currently interning at the City of Indianola where I am drafting and implementing a rental housing code and program.
As your next senator, I hope to represent student voices and uplift other student voices. I hope to promote openness and transparency during Student Government meetings, both inside and outside of regular senate meetings.
