Hi everyone! My name is Carrie Swartz, I am currently a senior in Political Science from Normal, Illinois. I am new to student government this year, but I am eager to take on my role as Director of Outreach! Outside of student government, I am involved in League of Women Voters, Save the Children Action Network, and the Model EU team. I am also an undergraduate research assistant for the Political Science Department.
My main goal for this year is to help further connect the student body to Student Government. Alongside the Outreach Ambassadors, I am so excited to help better educate the student body on how Student Government works and how students may utilize our many resources. I hope to assist President Graber and Vice President Bhatia in carrying out Reverse Town Halls and Fireside Chats, both of which were part of their campaign platform. Finally, I plan to start a social media campaign that not only promotes Reverse Town Halls and Firesides Chats, but also aids in connecting students to Student Government in a socially relevant way.
