Weekly Meetings

All of the Branches of Student Government meet weekly to work on improving the Iowa State student experience.

Executive Branch

The Executive Branch or “Cabinet” is made up of the President, Vice-President, Chief of Staff, Finance Director, and other cabinet members. They work on specific projects and initiatives related to student life. Cabinet meets Sundays at 8:00pm to discuss these issues. 

Legislative Branch

The Legislative Branch is made up of the Senate, debates student issues and passes legislation regarding funding for student organizations. The Senate meets weekly on Wednesdays at 6:00pm in the Great Hall. All students are welcome to attend. If you are unable to attend all Senate meetings are live streamed on our Student Government Youtube page.

Judicial Branch

Judicial Branch is made up of the 9-member Supreme Court, rules on issues between students and student organizations. The Supreme Court is currently being reformed.
