What are Executive Task Forces?

In addition to its many committees, Student Government also serves students through the work of its task forces. These executive task forces – established by the student body president – each address important student needs beyond the scope of committees. You can find a brief description of each task force below.

    Signed into law by the Hursh-Margrett Administration, the Executive Task Force on the Planning of the Big XII Student Government Conference – alongside the Events Committee – is preparing to host the Big XII student leaders in the fall of 2024.

    Task Force on Food Insecurity

    Signed into law by the Hursh-Margrett Administration, the Executive Task Force on Food Insecurity works to help the one in three Iowa State students who are food insecure. Through a preventative approach, this task force aims to better fulfill students’ basic needs.

    Signed into law by the Hursh-Margrett Administration, the Executive Task Force on Affordability works collaboratively to lower the cost of going to college through legislative advocacy, innovative affordability programs, and heightened awareness of grants and scholarships.
