    About the Task Force

To expand access to education to a wider audience, this task force aims to reduce what it costs to be a student.

From tuition to fees to textbooks, we all know that going to college can be prohibitively expensive. Student Government firmly believes that access to education ought to be affordable, and we know that affordability is the root cause of a number of important student needs. Creative approaches are clearly needed. President Hursh signed into law this task force to work towards greater affordability through legislative advocacy, innovative affordability programs, and heightened awareness of grants and scholarships. Led by the Director of Affordability, this task force is hard at work collaborating with key partners as they take action to lower what it costs to attend Iowa State University.
