I am a freshman at Iowa State, coming from a farm in a small town in Michigan's lower peninsula. I am a member of the Election Commission and participate in Iowa State's theatre program, and look forward to getting even more involved on campus.
Getting to learn about the election process, as well as work towards equal elections for everybody, is my main goal. I joined the Election Commission at random, and have enjoyed every second and every lesson so far. As someone whose voice was silenced growing up for being LGBT+, fair elections with good representation are an issue close to my heart and I look forward to continuing to learn more to assist the students at Iowa State in the election process so all voices are heard.
