Hey,
my name is Patrick Origer and I am a freshman here at ISU majoring in Computer Engineering. My hometown is Adel, IA. I enjoy spending time with friends, playing tennis, and not studying. But I do it anyways because I don't want to fail. During my time in High School, I held many officer positions for clubs that revolved primarily around technology and engineering. These areas of involvement helped lead me to becoming an IRHA senator. At ISU, I am active in Engineers' Week, CSE Club, and Data Science Club. I will be participating in a few intramurals this year, and you should hope, for your sake, that I won't be one of your opponents for any of them.
My primary objective is to make living in the residence dorms as enjoyable as it can feasibly be. By improving communication of when and where construction or workers will be accomplishing tasks so to reduce inconveniences for students as well as preventing these obstacles from staying long over due. And this would just be one mean of improving dorm life. I also hope to help in bridging the gap of joined involvement between ISU and the Ames community. This is important to me because the surrounding businesses and residents are part what makes ISU such an amazing place.
