Hi! My name is Izzy Rojas, I am currently a senior studying Political Science with a minor in History from Saint Paul, Minnesota. Previously to this position I have been on the Legislative Ambassadors committee for three years now working on the initiatives brought forward to the university on the state level by talking to our representatives from the great state of Iowa. This fall I am studying abroad and interning in the British Parliament so I will be remotely working and face-timing in for all meetings and business! Outside of Student Government, I am an active member of the Sorority and Fraternity community and work as a Resource Advisor for The Minnesota Youth in Government Program as well as a tutor on campus.
My goals this year include finally passing Medical Amnesty for the state of Iowa, fourth years the charm right? Aside from that, I hope to focus and expand the committee system within the Legislative Ambassadors by talking to members and seeing what workings in the House and Senate they are passionate about. From there we will all track legislation that would benefit or harm Iowa State Students and lobby either for or against that legislation to expand our impact and voice the opinions of collegiate students at the state level.
