Hey everyone, my name is Devyn Leeson and I am interested in politics, organizing and student issues. After working at the Iowa State Daily for two years, I have found myself in a position where I can start being part of the news, rather than writing on it. As the student representative on the Ames City Council, I do not get a vote but I can advocate for change on any issues you may have.
This semester I have been advocating for policy changes on housing issues, leading to the council looking further into nine policy proposals. I hope to create positive change on the council in areas regarding inclusivity, campus safety and accessibility as well.
