For three years, I have been a member of Student Government. For two years, I was an at-large on the Public Relations Committee, and this year I am a Senator representing the College of LAS. For the last two years, I have gotten the reputation as the "sign guy" on campus, for obvious reasons if you've ever seen me walking around. I have always been incredibly involved with the student body and through my sign have had thousands of interactions that without my sign I could not have had. I am also the President of the Ames Collegiate Chess Club and currently lead a small group at the Wesley Center on spirituality in nature.
My number one thing is strengthening our community. I plan on doing so by resolving the tension on Iowa State’s campus, solving campus-wide problems by cooperating with the administration, ending the systemic under-appreciation of various student groups, and creating a more informed and engaged student experience.
