Hello my name is Marte Broadnax and I am a senior from Saint Paul, Minnesota! This is my first year in Student Government but I have previously been involved in student residency as a Community Adviser as well as part of IRHA. Outside of Student Government, I am involved in the Model European Union Team, MSA as a George Washington Carver Scholar, and I work in preserving and repairing books at Parks!
My main goal for this year is make sure students are knowledgeable about all the different housing options that are available to them through RentSmart Ames. Additionally, I want to educate on lease agreements and the meaning behind its language. Through Student Government and my work on the Campus and Community Commission, I hope to bring tenants and landlords together and start discussions to help facilitate easier processes and education!
